Yes, there's the popular complaint that Twitter is full of people posting about what they ate for breakfast. Look a little further and you'll find there are mainframe news items, blog posts, resources, links, and conversations being shared there at any given hour of the day.If you don't tweet and don't understand why you should, check out this post by IBM blogger and DB2 for z/OS expert Willie Favero. He explains how to use Twitter hashtags, too.
I've started a list of people tweeting about mainframe topics--you might want to follow some or all of them. By all means, post your twitter name in the comments if you're a mainframe tweeter or suggest a hashtag. I'll follow you, and I bet others in the community will, too. At some point, I'll pull them all into a mainframe Twitter directory.
If you don't see the Reply button, you will need to log in or register.

Hi Kim-
Can you please add me to your Twitter list? mjfrandsen
Thanks!
Hi,
I don't like to tweet myself as I find the medium too constraining for me.
However I would recomend to anyone to create a user if only to follow other people and stay updated on news and events - one sentence is usually more infomative that endless emails.
my tweeter name is UriLifshitz in case you want to find more MF oriented tweeterers.
Uri Lifshitz.
Hi Uri,
Nice to "see" you here--I remember you from your article in DB2 Magazine (as it was called then) a couple of years ago. Thanks for your thoughts on Twitter. I'll add you to the list above and start following you myself.
Kim
No - I'm more of a Facebook person - I "follow" or better put "friend" the System z Mainframe userid on Facebook.

You're welcome - if you have any general questions about DFSMS, I'm happy to answer them...Cheers!
